[Born August 23, 2010] This amazing black boy we purchased from Laura Coomes in Florida in 2013. We are thrilled to have him join the Dantry family. We thank Laura for the opportunity. Bringing a 3 year old male into the pack did concern me as he would have to learn to get along with three other intact males. We were thrilled to find he was a very low dominance male who gets along with all the other dogs fantastically. I am sure we would have not been so lucky to get Ryder if it was not for his ear crop that did not stand, so although this takes away from his show career it was very lucky for us as this will not effect his ability to produce amazing puppies. We also still plan to try to get his championships even with his poor ear crop. His structure out ways that lack of standing ears.
Ryder lives with a amazing foster family now with his blue sister Decker. They are lucky enough to run the beaches everyday. We are very grateful for our incredible foster families for giving our dogs such great homes. We know Ryder is very in love with Christi as he likes to steel all her clothes and horde them in a corner and sleep with them. He never chews them he just likes to collect and sleep with them. The interesting thing is we now have a son of Ryder’s living with us and he has the same fascination about London’s clothes and can’t wait to steel and collect them all to sleep with. Every time we turn around he has another piece of London’s clothing and he’s taking them to his crate.
I have never quite seen a dog jump as high as Ryder when he wants in, it’s quite a sight he never jumps on the door just directly up and down. You see the enormousness black dog jumping 4 feet directly up and down like a kangaroo quite a sight. Ryder is a sucker for affection and such a gentle boy with a low energy demeanor. He is very calm and balanced.
