I’ve been looking into apartment dogs recently since I would like to have a dog when I move into the city, a lot of places say Great Danes are good apartment dogs and I wanted to hear some opinions from owners.

The dog would be walked at least 1-2 hours every day and wouldn’t be left alone for more than 6 hours max a day.

I won’t actually be looking into getting a puppy for a while, but I don’t think it’ll hurt to get some opinions in case.

    Hey there,

We don’t live in an apartment, but I could easily see our Great Dane being fine with apartment life. When we’re not out walking or playing in the yard, she’s quite content to chill out with us indoors. When I work from home, she’s most frequently on the leather ottoman in our living room and rarely gets herself up to do much else (unless it’s to follow me to another room).
My girl is no athlete. In fact, she’d be groaning at you for taking her for a two hour walk, lol. I like to walk and I often have the feeling she finds me too hardcore, even going for an hour. She is trying to lean on me by the end!

That’s just my own experience. I can’t really speak for all Great Danes, but certainly the one I call best pal is one lazy couch potato!
